Our Evaluation Approach

Theoretical Approach
to Evaluation

Developing and measuring evidence-based practices requires thoughtful, systematic implementation processes in order to have effective outcomes. EEC's approach to evaluation, therefore, starts with the client.

Logic Model Development

EEC works with clients to develop detailed, conceptually complete logic models that will help programs identify goals, plan services, and specify intended outcomes. This will provide the foundation for successfully moving a program forward according to its goals and objectives.

Evaluation Plan Development

Once the logic model is completed, EEC develops the evaluation plan that will serve as a roadmap for the evaluation. It includes overarching questions that guide the measurement and data collection strategies, as well as short-term, intermediate and long-term outcomes.

Methodology

EEC's mixed-methodology approach to collecting, analyzing, and reporting data includes the development of surveys, individual and group focus group interviews, observation protocols, and document review forms.

Communication & Collaboration

EEC is committed to ongoing communication with our clients. During the beginning stages of a project, we expect initial in-person meetings, monthly evaluation work group calls, and attend and participate in key management and staff meetings.

Tasks, Project Management & Reporting

After finalizing the evaluation plan, EEC develops a Data Collection Schedule to manage the evaluation. This includes timelines, meeting schedules, evaluation activities, and reporting.
